Electrical Project Manager / Estimator

Prism Electric, Inc. is one of the largest open-shop electrical contracting companies in Texas. Prism has expertise with projects in virtually every arena of electrical service and construction, including commercial, industrial / manufacturing, healthcare and institutional markets.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The successful Project Manager / Estimator will be responsible for performing the following duties in a variety of 'end-user' client environments:
  • Estimate / design and manage electrical projects ranging from $10,000 to $1 million
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, resulting in trust and long term, repeat business opportunities
  • Ability to identify clients electrical needs and develop / design NEC compliant solutions that will meet current and future needs
  • Ensure open and effective communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, etc
  • Perform accurate and timely estimates using Accubid software
  • Present scope & pricing in concise, detailed proposals
  • When required, develop, submit and gain AHJ approval of drawings, load calculations, etc
  • Negotiate with clients and suppliers when necessary to arrive at an equitable outcome
  • Effectively oversee and manage all facets of projects, including but not limited to: schedules, labor / material budgets, subcontractors, etc
  • Ensure overall success and profitability of projects
  • Ensure that all work is completed according to Prism safety and quality standards
  • Perform all facets of job with the highest standard of ethics at all times
  • Must be highly organized and detailed in all areas of responsibility
  • Must have strong multitasking skills
  • Must have extensive knowledgeable of NEC and local AHJ requirements
