Position Overview

Cummings Electrical is in search of a proficient and knowledgeable Sub Station Electrician to become a vital part of our workforce. In this position, you will engage in a range of electrical tasks within commercial and industrial environments, emphasizing service and maintenance. You will operate either independently or collaboratively to identify electrical problems, execute repairs, and guarantee that systems function efficiently and safely. The perfect candidate will possess a solid foundation in electrical systems, adept troubleshooting skills, and a dedication to providing exceptional service.

A current and active Texas Journeyman Electrician license is preferred for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Install and upgrade electrical systems, components, and equipment in accordance with specifications and codes.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to determine methods and sequences of operations.
  • Safely utilize hand and power tools as well as testing equipment to accomplish tasks effectively.
  • Comply with all safety and quality standards and regulations, including adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, team members, and project managers regarding project status, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Maintain precise records of work completed, materials utilized, and time allocated to tasks.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sub Station Construction.
  • Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Texas preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring techniques.
  • Capability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
