USLAW is a client of RMY Management Group, LLC, which serves as USLAW’s association management company. The Director of Meetings and Events will be a full-time employee of RMY and work exclusively on behalf of USLAW. The position will work remotely. Candidates may be located anywhere in the continental United States. The position will report to Roger M. Yaffe, USLAW’s CEO and the President of RMY. RMY/USLAW is headquartered in Coral Springs, Florida.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Oversee and facilitate all aspects of meeting planning from RFP production, site inspections and selection, vendor negotiation, event registration, marketing, onsite staffing and post-event reporting. Work on multiple national meetings simultaneously. Prepare language and terms in all contracts. Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations. Work closely with the graphic design team to create and send event marketing and communications via email and web Prepare BEO and AV information with event venues. Create and manage budgets for all events. Manage certification process for continuing legal education and adjustor accreditation. Oversee meeting preparation, supplies ordering and packing/shipping of event materials Staff events. Review event bills for accuracy and approve payment. Create and analyze online evaluations and prepare post-event reports, including recommendations for improvement.

Specific Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor’s degree, with 6 or more years related work experience as a corporate/association meeting planner or DMC operations manager. Up-to-date on current trends in the meetings industry. Innovative and resourceful; actively seeks opportunities to improve meetings and events. Experienced at negotiating and building partnerships with vendors. Exceptional client service skills. Ability to manage concurrent tasks efficiently. Superior attention to detail; first class organizational skills. High energy, positive, professional attitude, with pride in work product. Excellent technology skills, including proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office applications and other event planning software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Great team member - willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in to help your colleagues when needed. Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) a plus. Familiarization with Salesforce a plus.

Compensation: Annual compensation for this position will range from $80,000 to $100,000 annually commensurate with experience. Benefits are included.
