Position Overview

This role will collaborate closely with the Marketing Director to promote the venue and its events while fostering relationships with media outlets and promotional partners.

The Marketing Coordinator will support various marketing initiatives, including graphic design, advertising, digital media, ticket sales analysis, promotional campaigns, public relations, and grassroots marketing efforts for assigned events.

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $19 to $22.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee event day operations, including promotions, meet and greets, and media interactions.
  • Draft and manage written agreements outlining negotiated terms.
  • Assist the Marketing Director in developing and coordinating advertising programs and promotional materials.
  • Support the preparation of monthly marketing reports and participate in conference calls with other entities.
  • Compile reports on public relations activities, marketing results, ticket sales, demographics, and economic trends.
  • Help design sales presentations and promotional content to support sales initiatives.
  • Manage daily digital marketing efforts across platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and Google Analytics.
  • Coordinate marketing strategies with promoters, artist management, and local media.
  • Assist in pitching stories, drafting press releases, organizing public relations events, and executing media outreach.
  • Oversee grassroots marketing initiatives, including poster distribution and community engagement.
  • Generate innovative ideas to attract new events and enhance promotions for booked events.
  • Update the website and manage digital display systems.
  • Handle database management and email marketing campaigns.
  • Develop new marketing programs to maximize ticket sales through partnerships and media opportunities.
  • Recruit and supervise student interns or part-time marketing staff.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of event marketing plans.
  • Perform graphic design tasks using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Engage with venue, community, and corporate groups to promote collaboration.
  • Collaborate with other departments on various projects.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality/Sports Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and interest in marketing and advertising.
  • Intermediate to strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of branding concepts.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • One or more years of experience in event or entertainment marketing is preferred.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and event days as needed.
  • A creative team player with proactive problem-solving abilities.
