Job Description

The Stress Engineer will update, compile, and analyze engineering analytical definitions of structural components and assemblies based on records from the prototype build project. Responsibilities include developing standardized analysis criteria and templates, playing an integral role in the workflow release process for all structural designs, supporting the review of manufacturing plans and procedures to ensure compliance with design and load requirements, and creating structural test plans for manufacturing verification. Additionally, the role involves overseeing and coordinating the work of other Stress Engineers, handling Pre-and-Post flight structural NRIs for Fuselage Structure, managing inspection inquiries and requests, defining primary structures inspections for flight test and EIS, and compiling and implementing tools, methods, and procedures with the team.

Work Environment

Two positions available, primarily located at Spaceport America near Truth or Consequences, NM, with occasional work at the Las Cruces offices. The role involves hands-on work with the aircraft in the hangar and is part of an engineering team of 6, reporting to the Director of Operations Engineering. Standard 40-hour work week without alternative work schedules.
