Job Description

Credit Administrator - office choice of Fayetteville, Greenville, Raleigh, or Elizabeth City -(with eligibility after 1 year to work remotely)

The right person for the job will be able to provide leadership and guidance to assist the Association with administrating the loan portfolio objectives, loan policies and procedures, and business plans as it relates to credit administration. As an active member of Loan Committee, you will participate in the approval process and provide guidance on large (usually $3.5M or greater) and/or complex credit packages to both the credit analyst team and lending staff. You will analyze data extracted from information systems to assist the Senior Leadership Team with the organization, development, and direction of various credit management functions. You will administer sound credit decisions based on policy and procedure while also coaching lending staff on risk management and developing credit skills. The Credit Administrator will contribute to all business objectives including "Serving Our Members & Rural Communities." This position would report to the Senior Credit Administrator.

How you will impact AgCarolina Farm Credit:
  • Administer sound credit decisions based on policy and procedures
  • Coach lending staff on risk management and developing credit skills
  • Assist in the administration of loan portfolio objectives, loan policies and procedures, and business plans related to credit administration operations
  • Develop credit policies and effectively administer credit risk functions
  • Assist Senior Credit Administrator and Chief Credit Officer with managing organization, development, and direction for various credit management functions
  • Assist with developing and compiling portfolio statistical reports for use in planning and management of Association credit risk
  • Ensure all files are maintained in a secure environment to protect borrowers' data
  • Participate in training as scheduled by the supervisor
What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or agricultural economics or related fields, with at least 10 years of credit analysis work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Self-starter with strong analytical, judgement, and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to be assertive and decisive in arriving at sound business decisions that serve the best interest of the Association and the borrower
  • Capability to handle high stress situations in both a business and professional manner
  • Full understanding of 5 C's of credit: capacity, capital, conditions, character, and collateral
  • Computer experience with intermediate skills in Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Quick learner, strong problem solver, and adaptable
  • Work independently under general supervision
  • Foster and promote a team atmosphere
  • General knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
