Job Opening: Systems Administrator

Join our team at Greenville Federal Credit Union as a Systems Administrator and seize the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills are valued. This role offers the chance to contribute to the backbone of our technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for our members. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our systems to drive efficiency and innovation.

DAY TO DAY AS A systems administrator

As a Systems Administrator, you will take the lead on integration projects bridging the network or core systems with third-party entities. Your role will involve close collaboration with various departments, senior managers, and the IT team to troubleshoot issues, enhance systems, and ensure the implementation of effective solutions. You will be responsible for creating detailed documentation and technical specifications to guide the IT staff in executing upgrades and new IT infrastructure projects.

Additionally, you will oversee the administration of MS Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory, as well as coordinate firewall management activities with the Senior Systems Administrator. Your expertise in network and security management solutions, such as Office 365, Antivirus, and Microsoft Azure, will be pivotal in ensuring a robust and secure IT environment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A Systems Administrator

To excel as a Systems Administrator, candidates should hold an associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT network and security administration. Proficiency in Office 365 administration, on-premise and Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Powershell is essential to navigating the complexities of IT infrastructure. A strong background in data modeling and visualization tools, firewall management, LAN/WAN networks, LAN routing and switching, as well as Windows and Linux server security practices, will be crucial for success in this role.

The ability to leverage these advanced technical skills in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively across teams is key to thriving in this dynamic position.

Note: Hybrid work-from-home arrangements may be made after initial training is successfully completed.
