This position has the primary responsibility for coordinating required services to clients who are enrolled in the Matching Grant program as well as ongoing adjustment, orientation, employment and social services. The Matching Grant Specialist will work closely with, community organizations, churches, volunteers, good neighbor teams, landlords, and service providers to facilitate self-sufficiency among clients. Role & Responsibilities Client Services

Screen incoming refugee arrivals and other participating populations for eligibility for the Matching Grant program Provide orientation and enroll clients the Matching Grant program when applicable Conduct comprehensive family assessments with each client at the time of enrollment, day 180 and day 240, and make referrals to additional services as needed Perform home visits and evaluations during Matching Grant period Collaborate with R&P and Employment staff to provide on-going case management, including employment services, budgeting assistance, throughout the eight months within the MG program. Collaborate with Employment Services staff to ensure job search is prioritized and supported, providing assistance where needed. Communicate weekly the employment needs and priority of case load. Provide mediation services between clients and outside entities (i.e., neighbors, landlords, volunteers, service providers, etc.), and additional adjustment counseling as needed throughout Matching Grant period Assess client’s skills and experience in order to develop an employment plan with reasonable employment goals and strategies that will lead to employment. Communicate employment related information to clients, this includes orientation to Working in America and employer expectations. Provide job counseling and assist clients to develop effective job applications, resumes, and interview techniques. Teach and/or coordinate Vocational Skills Training Class and other classes using prepared curriculum. Schedule clients for weekly Vocational Skills Training Class. Schedule interpreters when needed. Provide follow-up and case management to support clients post job placement.

Administrative Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of client files, case notes, database entries, and reporting records Submit monthly, semi-annual, and annual program reports in collaboration with the Resettlement Manager Actively participate in department meetings, staff development opportunities, program trainings, community activities, and organizational events Develop plans to meet Match and account for gift-in-kind for each client in collaboration with the Volunteer Program Manager. Provide supervision and accountability for interns. Collaborate with Community Engagement Specialist to manage volunteer involvement with Matching Grant enrollees. Accurately enter data into Dynamics in a timely manner. Maintain databases and reporting requirements to keep data current on a regular basis. Work with community colleges and organizations to ensure that clients are enrolled in English classes as appropriate and to establish additional ELT classes appropriate to the needs of clients. Research and supervise job-related skills courses in the community available to qualified clients needing specific job training. Arrange transportation for clients to orientations, classes, and job interviews as needed. Partner with fellow MG and Employment Services staff to find new job opportunities for clients as well as develop and maintain relationships with local employers. Give oversight to MG/employment interns and volunteers while collaborating with volunteer coordinator to ensure program responsibilities are fulfilled. Perform other duties as required.
