**Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Assistant Manager**

ADVICS manufactures caliper disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control units and Electronic Parking Brakes for most of the worlds major auto makers. We have been located in Lebanon, Ohio (just North of Kings Island) for over 30 years and proudly employ 1000 amazing team members.

**Role Summary:**

The Environmental Health and Safety Assistant Manager leads efforts to ensure the health and safety of all team members. This role involves implementing improvements to achieve world-class safety and environmental performance and overseeing proactive measures to minimize workplace hazards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Establish and manage safety committees to enhance team involvement.

- Develop and conduct comprehensive EH&S training programs.

- Drive communication initiatives to foster a robust safety culture.

- Lead regular workplace inspections to identify and address hazards.

- Provide technical expertise during accident investigations and change management processes.

- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage related programs.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelors degree in safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.

- 5-8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or equivalent.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in project management and problem-solving.

- Thorough understanding of safety, training, and workers compensation practices.

**Additional Skills and Abilities:**

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven track record in continuous improvement initiatives.

- Knowledge of safety systems and practices preferred.

- Proficiency in project management and problem-solving.

**Physical Demands:**

The role may require occasional lifting and movement of up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities and hearing are necessary for reading, writing, and communication.

**Work Environment:**

The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts and varying noise levels.
