Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train Employees: Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on workplace safety practices, fire prevention, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Conduct Hazard Assessments: Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace, and develop corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Manage Workers' Compensation: Oversee the administration of the workers' compensation program, including coordination with insurance carriers.
  • Represent the Company: Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and community organizations to promote safety and compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in environmental health and safety, or a related field.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Certifications: Possess relevant certifications, such as OSHA or CSP.
