Ensuring the priorities of the Cockrell School are incorporated into all aspects of the position including student-centeredness while showcasing a genuine respect for different student experiences and perspectives. Responsibilities: Maintain logistical and scheduling details for large-and-small scale events, receptions, activities, projects, and services that strategically promote Engineering Student Services (ESS); including day-of execution. Effectively communicate and work within a team and individually; serve as the primary liaison for ESS with external vendors, community leaders, and event stakeholders. Ensure strict adherence to University compliance regulations, policies, and procedures concerning procurement, contracts, travel arrangements, space reservations, and accountability protocols. Work with Business Affairs Office to execute payments to vendors and contracts. Work in collaboration with event owners to lead, adhere to timelines, and ensure all events are executed efficiently. Manage budgets for events. Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing proactively to the overall success of ESS and its objectives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three years' experience in coordinating or overseeing events, spanning both expansive and small gatherings. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, coupled with the ability to foster teamwork. Displays expertise in managing tasks under pressure and within tight timelines; able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and resourcefulness. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree and two-three years' experience in coordinating or overseeing events within higher education. Brings hands-on experience in budget management. Proficient in engaging with corporate executives, university leadership, students, parents, alumni, and various constituencies. Salary Range: $54,000+ depending on qualifications Working Conditions: Work is performed in a standard office environment. Work outside of regular business hours is required on an occasional basis, including evenings and weekends. Travel may be required on a periodic basis. Work Shift: Standard work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Periodic work outside of normal business hours, to include evenings and weekends, may be required on an occasional basis.
