Our Power & Energy team is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Philadelphia, PA or Austin, TX office.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will perform technical activities on assigned projects, adhering to discipline technical policies and procedures. They will participate in the production of technical studies, investigations, and designs in support of assigned projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in medium voltage systems and solar/BESS/microgrid applications. A PE license is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to company technical policies and procedures during project execution.
  • Develop design approaches and concepts for assigned projects, seeking guidance from senior technical staff when needed.
  • Provide discipline-specific engineering for systems and designs of low to moderate complexity.
  • Delegate work tasks and collaborate with subordinate staff, monitoring and reviewing delegated work for accuracy.
  • Assist in the execution of technical training programs for design staff.
  • Support the development of proposals and presentations to clients.
  • Participate in the performance management process by providing feedback to the Project Manager for performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate project designs with other disciplines, attending project meetings as required.
  • Perform on-site inspections during construction and coordinate design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers.
  • Use design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Actively participate in professional organizations and/or client groups to enhance the technical reputation and image of the firm.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's (B.S.) Electrical Engineering degree.
  • A minimum of 4-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PE license is required at this level.
  • Solar/BESS/microgrid experience.
  • Medium voltage experience.
