This position is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Finance activities at the bakery.

  A close working relationship with the bakery management team and in particular, the Bakery Controller, must be maintained in order to provide financial analysis and business insight on a daily basis.

Responsibilities: Support the Bakery Controller in a multitude of areas including but not limited to: 1) process order reporting; 2) inventory management; 3) process/continuous improvement; 4) cost control and containment (including involvement in variance analysis); 5) project tracking/management; 6) ad-hoc analysis to support the Bakery Controller’s role.

Promote a strong internal control environment within the bakery.  Identifies possible weaknesses and develop (in conjunction with Bakery Controller) systems/processes to close any gaps in conjunction with the financial policies of the company and US GAAP and improve Bakery operations and profitability.

Assist with month end, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and internal and external audits.

Monitor capital project progress and ensure that closing notices are prepared and processed in a timely manner.

Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications: Up to 5 years of related finance experience in a Manufacturing environment and/or education (Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook email Experience with SAP preferred Knowledge of standard costing methods and concepts Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, analyse performance trends and draw valid conclusions.

Maintain a focus on proactive and consistent process improvement.

Ability to work in a fast-paced culture; must be able to re-prioritize tasks on short notice and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Be a self-starter that is dependable, takes initiative and requires minimal supervision.
