Residential Mortgage Lending Assistant

The Residential Lending Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the residential lending team, ensuring smooth and efficient processing of mortgage loans. This role involves direct interaction with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to facilitate the mortgage loan process from application through closing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitates Mortgage Loan Requests by:
- Requesting financial information from lenders and borrowers
- Prepare and review loan documents for completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Working within the Mortgage Loan Operating System to timely disclose and facilitate loan applications
- Requesting fee quotes for title work, appraisals, pull credit bureaus, and complete CIP & compliance checks; plus, any other vendor tasks necessary for the loan application
- Working with secondary market and other products for accurate locking and funding
- Adhering to compliance through laws, regulations, policies and procedures
- Following specific compliance regulations for TRID, being proactive in the best interests of the bank and our customers
Provides Customer Service with Customer/Lender by:
- Working with the lenders on pipeline management for new, active, and pre-qualified applications & in house loans
- Being an additional point of contact in answering questions from borrowers
- Assist in the preparation of loan documents and reports for management review
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Posting daily rates & preparing data for market analysis
- Prepare and submit weekly marketing template to our marketing vendor for messaging
- Back up for the Residential Processing team duties as needed
- Works with the Residential Lending Manager for system Administration duties in the applicable Mortgage Loan Operating Systems
- Reviews post-closing information, including final title policies
- Works closely with compliance, credit and supervisor with change implementation
- Implement and adhere to best practices and standard operating procedures
- Participate in training and development activities to stay updated on industry changes and compliance requirements
- Other duties as assigned
