This individual provides key analytics and reporting to support management and organizational objectives in the areas of cash and liquidity management, interest rate risk management, and portfolio risk management. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for interpreting and communicating analytical findings to various committees and members of senior management. - Perform independent research and analysis to provide management with financial data to support strategic initiatives and goals. Examples include Peer-to-Peer reporting and analysis, marginal cost analysis, balance sheet trend analysis, and financial proformas.
- Participate in interest rate risk management activities which include coordinating with third-party vendors to generate reports, running multiple stress simulations, validating IRR third-party models, and preparing annual IRR internal back-testing analytics.
- Perform investment management activities that include reviewing investments, monitoring credit quality, executing trades, and reporting on activity in accordance with the investment policy.
- Collaborate with other member of the team to support the process of reviewing, assembling, and distributing Market Strategy, Finance, and Board packets.
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of two years of work experience within a financial institution working on complex transactions.
- General knowledge of Financial and Accounting research methods and processes, including basic knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience communicating complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Financial analysis and/or accounting experience preferred, with experience in performing reconciliations, operating financial systems, data validations, and/or data organization.
