Promotion Potential: 13 Sub-Agency Name: Resilience - Federal Insurance Mitigation Administration - Federal Insurance Directorate Total Openings: Many Major Duties: Preparing and reviewing directives, guidelines, forms and other documents regarding flood insurance matters. Working with contractor staff to develop and document practice and procedure manuals, including the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Claims Manual and the Flood Insurance Manual. Analyzing and providing recommendations on management procedures and policy revisions covering a variety of insurance issues. Providing expert evaluations of special projects relating to procedural materials, claims manuals, and other matters upon request. Preparing Rules and Regulations that implement the intent and directions of Congress in the conduct and scope of the NFIP. Education: No Educational Substitution: There is no educational substitution for this position, and you must meet the qualifications listed in the requirements section of this announcement. Requirements: You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position. You must successfully pass a background investigation. Selective Service registration required. Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
