Senior Financial Reporting Accountant Job Details
- Analyzes financial information to determine the accuracy of account balances, financial postings, and calculations; investigates and resolves discrepancies.
- Performs a variety of accounting tasks for the bank and its affiliates including but not limited to preparing journal entries, reconciling various balance sheet accounts, processing, and reconciling interfacing sub-systems to the general ledger, and preparing analysis based on financial results.
- Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including annual audited financial statements.
- Researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations for improving company policy and procedures.
- Contributes to the preparation of presentations of monthly results for the bank and its affiliates to management as part of the month-end cycle.

Senior Financial Reporting Accountant Mandatory Skills
- Must have public accounting experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail and concern for data accuracy.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V lookups.
- Knowledge of financial and accounting principles including U.S. GAAP.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills that include the ability to mentor and develop staff.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.

Senior Financial Reporting Accountant Desired Skills
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Dynamics AX preferred.
- Solid technology abilities, including database applications.
- Capable of performing accounting research and presenting real-time solutions.
- Self-starter who uses time effectively and efficiently meeting required deadlines.
- CPA license in good standing, preferred.

Senior Financial Reporting Accountant Location
This position is Hybrid, located in Spring, TX. For the first 6 months, the role requires being on-site 5 days a week, transitioning to a hybrid schedule thereafter.
