About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Jobot. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insight into company operations and performance.
  • Financial Integrity: Apply your comprehensive understanding of financial accounting to ensure the integrity of our financial data.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting key business drivers and variances to plan.
  • General Ledger Management: Manage the general ledger and ensure it accurately reflects the company's financial transactions.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Generate forecasts and comprehensive budgets that align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal tax laws and regulations.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Financial Data Analysis: Interact with various departments and team members to help understand financial data and provide them with information needed to make key business decisions.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in financial statements preparation, financial accounting, financial analysis, accounting, financial reporting, general ledger, and forecasting. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
