 Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who will also play a pivotal role in supporting  and assisting the Accounting department. The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the financial activities of the organization. This role includes overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. The Senior Accountant will ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all of the company’s accounting tasks, providing financial advice and support to help senior executives make key decisions.

 Core Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.

  • General Ledger:

    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Ensure accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Analyze financial information to recommend effective use of resources.

  • Audit and Compliance:

    • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.

  • Financial Analysis:

    • Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
    • Prepare financial reports and present findings to senior management.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems.
    • Ensure robust financial controls and procedures are in place.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
    • Support the professional development of the finance team.
 Qualification Standards & Company Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
  • Proficient in hotel management systems, property management systems, and relevant software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel & restaurant software(s).
  • Must have a flexible work schedule.
