Job Summary:

The Senior General Ledger Accountant will lead a team of accounting professionals in delivering timely and accurate financial statements and process improvements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Streamline and oversee the month-end close process to reduce closure time.
  • Provide financial information to leadership and the board for data-driven decision making.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating the company's core values.
  • Collaborate with the broader Finance and Accounting team to share success, enhance the function, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Establish best practices for merger and acquisition accounting integration.
  • Review, modify, and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Maintain monthly fixed assets schedules and capital leases.
  • Implement batch and billing audits and reconciliation processes to increase revenue.
  • Lead audits and other compliance projects.
  • Participate in interviewing, selecting, and training new Finance and Accounting teammates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a relevant field.
  • Active CPA certification.
  • 5+ years of corporate accounting experience, including financial reporting.
  • Public Accounting experience required.
  • Strong understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Professional and concise communication skills.
  • Federal and tax knowledge.

Nice to Have:

  • Accounting leadership experience managing a team of varying skillsets.
  • Experience with M&A transactions and accounting integrations.
  • Previous work with PE investors.
  • Various systems application knowledge, including Sage and Centage Budgeting Software.
