Position Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and driven Senior Financial Accountant to oversee the preparation and reconciliation of monthly financial statements, maintain comprehensive records, and execute general bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will gather essential information, schedules, and documentation for year-end audits, in addition to preparing various ad-hoc financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries, perform analyses, reconcile accounts, and support monthly closing activities.
  • Maintain financial documentation, records, and general ledger accounts.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to payable accruals and vendor accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and support audit activities.
  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Provide assistance to the assistant controller as required.
  • Manage and review vendor profiles in the accounting system, ensuring accurate setup and appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Monitor outstanding vendor bills and purchase orders for timely processing.
  • Review and authorize weekly vendor bills for correct coding.
  • Process vendor invoices for payment.
  • Investigate, resolve, and respond to inquiries regarding vendor invoice statuses.
  • Propose enhancements to processes and procedures for improved efficiency and assist with their implementation.
  • Help document existing and new processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance forecasts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. CPA candidates are preferred.

Relevant Experience:

• A minimum of three to four years of experience in accounting is required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient understanding of GAAP.

• Excellent analytical abilities.

• Effective problem-solving and time management skills.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Personify CRM, or similar systems is advantageous, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Work Schedule:

Hybrid work arrangements require a minimum of 20% in-office presence.
