Position Purpose: The Senior Director, National Accounts provides direction and guidance to the National Accounts team in all aspects of professional sales with large Pro customers at the national level. The Senior Director, National Accounts builds strong relationships and possesses an understanding of the large, strategic Pro customer needs with a focus on fulfilling project, credit, and performance requirements, along with identifying key opportunities and strategies for programs and customers. This role sets the strategy for compelling Pro National Accounts performance in terms of growth, profitability, store, and market penetration, while inspiring the National Accounts team to educate large customers on the services and products offered by The Home Depot.

Key Responsibilities: 30% Communication and Change Management - Develops an effective plan for communicating Pro strategy information to teams and stakeholders across the enterprise; Drives new compensation and portfolio management models across Pro organization; Provides direction and guidance to Pro team to drive a positive change management strategy 35% Project Leadership - Tracks metrics to determine if action plans are effective at meeting targets or whether new plans should be developed; Develops an effective plan for controlling Pro project scope, schedule, task assignments, budget, and leads project execution to ensure the plan is being followed; Documents Pro project dependencies and ensures a viable work plan is created that results in on-time completion of the project 35% Stakeholder Management - Builds and maintains a close and positive relationship with cross-functional leaders to drive communication needed to support Pro strategy; Serves as a liaison between Pro team and Home Depot Design Center to build and execute roadmap to gain market share with kitchen and bath Pro customers

Direct Manager/Direct Reports: This Position typically reports to Vice President-Outside Sales This Position has 5 Direct Reports

Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences Excellent written and verbal communication skills 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in the building supply, retail, or a related industry; MBA preferred

Minimum Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
