This position resolves problems by working in concert with members of our multi-disciplinary teams to present a positive Practice image to our patients, referring physicians, and the general public.How You'll Contribute:At RMANJ we always do whatever it takes to ensure an exceptional patient experience. In general, the Patient Services Coordinator will be responsible for:Responsibilities include:Welcome and greet patients and visitorsAnswer patient phone callsMaintain a professional composed demeanorComfort patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questionsSchedule patient appointmentsFollow physician appointment templatesAssess schedule conflicts and problems with recommendations for solutionsMaintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating patient demographic, financial and insurance informationCollect co-pays and patient paymentsWork with the nurses to coordinate total patient careCollaborate with the Finance Department to make sure all reimbursement/insurance information has been receivedSkills & Requirements:High School Diploma (GED) required. Associate degree preferredMinimum 1 year as a medical office receptionistMinimum 3 years customer services experienceExcellent computer skills High level of listening skillsAbility to communicate accurately and conciselyExcellent interpersonal skillsAptitude to work independently and demonstrate good judgmentAbility to work in a high standard, stressful environmentMust be available to work weekends and overtime as neededMust be available to rotate to RMANJ satellite offices as needed
