The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for the administrative support for the HR department, with an emphasis on talent acquisition. This includes support with recruitment, internal movement, manage HR data, onboarding and off-boarding of credit union staff and employee engagement, all while providing superior experiences to candidates and employees. This role supports the credit union's strategic plan, vision and mission by helping to build a strong Summit team and culture.

Essential Functions:

  1. 90% Provide talent acquisition support, including but not limited to:
    1. Take ownership of the applicant and candidate experience and look for ways to improve the effectiveness of associated processes.
    2. Post positions, manage careers page, review potential applicants, assist with candidate screening, and schedule interviews as needed.
    3. Provide support to employees, managers, and the HR team in areas of status changes, required employment letters and input into the IT/HRIS system.
    4. Manage new hire documents, pre-hire background checks, and administer bondability requests, status change forms, and systems entry in a timely and accurate manner.
    5. Manage the I-9 employment eligibility verification process during onboarding. Monitor relevant reporting and work with employees who's I9 information is expiring.
    6. Conduct and maintain the NMLS process including renewals, transfers and the annual audit. Make recommendations for improvement based on findings.
  2. 10% Provide general Human Resources team support:
    1. Assure all locations are up to date with regulatory postings.
    2. Maintain personnel files and terminated employee files, ensuring compliance for retention and other regulatory requirements.
    3. Provide insights into and plan for special activities sponsored by HR, or that HR participates in, such as new hire welcome gift, 1 year employee anniversary recognition gift, etc.
    4. Manage fob system for all employees.
  3. Professionally represent Summit Credit Union and the Human Resources Department through all contacts and communications.
  4. As a member of the HR team, contributes to the implementation of a comprehensive diversity strategy to guide Summit's growth, while attracting and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce; reinforce the diversity and inclusion message and culture through daily work, fostering collaboration, and seeking opportunities to expand the focus on diversity and inclusion across the organization, at every step of the employment cycle.
Additional Functions:
  1. Assist with additional projects and other duties as assigned by departmental leadership.
  2. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and systems.
  3. Provide Summit front desk back up support as requested.
Job Specifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; human resources or related field preferred
  2. Basic knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, Wage and Hour Law, OFCCP, etc.).
  3. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  4. Detail oriented, adaptable, problem-solve, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  5. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion.
  6. Adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.
  7. Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; HRIS systems experience preferred.
  8. Able to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
