This is a full-time temporary internship anticipated to last three months. Must work fully onsite at our corporate headquarters in Anaheim, CA.

Responsibilities

Assist with Full Cycle Accounts Payable, including: AP invoice data entry Check to match Scanning and tagging of matched checks Mailing checks

Handle high-volume emails Monthly reconciliation of vendor statements Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by the manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare

Qualifications

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates degree in Accounting, Business, or related field, or a current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred. Years of experience needed: 0-2 years' experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting. Knowledge of accrual accounting.

Skills and Competencies

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality. Strong critical thinking skills; problem solving, and decision making. Must have the ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports. Ability to manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to create and edit written materials. Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and clients. Strong time management, organizational, and follow-through skills. Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals. Ability to work independently as well as assisting other team members when needed. Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.

Computer Skills

Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.

Physical Demand

Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk. Some bending and stretching could be required. Working under stress and use of computer/phone required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard and mouse. Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Work Environment

Indoor, office environment conditions. The noise level is usually moderate. Air quality is good and temperature is controlled.

Additional Job Information

This is an onsite role working from our corporate headquarters in Anaheim, CA. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST with some flexibility. The salary for this position is $20.00 per hour. Benefits include 401K.
