The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market trends, user behavior and technology, coupled with strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Product Manager Responsibilities:
Define and articulate the product vision, goals and roadmap in alignment with the company's overall strategy
Conduct market research, competitive analysis and customer feedback analysis to identify opportunities and challenges
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements
Translate customer needs and business goals into detailed product specifications and user stories
Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that outlines features, enhancements, and releases
Balance short-term priorities with long-term strategic goals, adapting the roadmap as needed based on market shifts and business priorities
Work closely with engineering, design, and other teams to drive the development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products
Provide clear product specifications, wireframes, and prototypes to guide development efforts
Champion a user-centered design approach, advocating for the best possible user experience throughout the product lifecycle
Conduct user research, usability testing and feedback sessions to continuously refine and enhance the product
Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, keeping them informed about product progress, changes and milestones
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure effective product launches and ongoing support
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure product success against these metrics
Analyze data, user behavior and feedback to identify areas for improvement and inform future product iterations
Lead cross-functional teams through the product development process, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
Drive alignment among different teams and departments to ensure successful product delivery
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or a related field; master’s preferred
3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, contributing to the development and launch of successful products
Strong understanding of product management principles, methodologies and best practices
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage and influence both internal teams and external partners
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, and proficiency in project management tools
Ability to balance technical requirements with user needs, ensuring the product's functionality and usability
Familiarity with data analysis and data-driven decision-making
Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving market conditions

position is an open-ended contract with the potential for both extension or conversions. This role is onsite 1-3x/week in downtown Chicago.
