Job Description:

The Technical Product Manager - Data Services role will function as a key player in the product organization and will have ownership of a diverse mix of hosted and cloud-based data platform capabilities. This Product role spans the spectrum from ideation-strategizing to execution-delivery and everything in between.
As Technical Product Manager, you will oversee the roadmap for business-critical technology services and omnichannel data that provide capabilities for various parts of the organization. You will be putting a product lens and discipline on all work within your area of the technology platform, from modernizing the stack to be
best of breed, to delivering new functionalities that power diverse omnichannel customer experiences and business efficiencies throughout the Enterprise.
This specific role will specialize in working with our Data & Analytics organization to drive forward enterprise and industry standards to encourage consistency, quality, reliability and accuracy across our source data and downstream reporting and analytics.
To enable this, you will establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the product, analytics, and IT organizations, enabling the creation of fast, efficient, reusable and capable data assets, capabilities, and solutions that power the customer and associate experiences. Additionally, you will influence the organization on best practices, align expectations and keep stakeholders informed and connected to enhancement efforts with robust, inclusive and effective communication. You will be responsible for achieving a shared set business goals by enhancing the underlying data capabilities.
Essential Functions
  • Own, manage and represent the product roadmap and strategic prioritization for the Data Governance, Data Stewardship, and Data Quality focus areas
  • Balance the intake of requests and ongoing prioritization and execution of enhancements, anchoring decisions on objective measures of value and strategic alignment
  • Partner with Data & Analytics leadership and cross-functional partners to drive and encourage consistency, quality, security, and reliability of the data through all aspects of its use and distribution
  • Encourage and promote data & technology standards and efficient practices through tools across the Enterprise while keeping an eye on process efficiency and associate & customer experiences
  • Identify the appropriate balance between data availability, reliability, and cost with an eye towards real-time data capabilities delivered efficiently at reasonable costs.
  • Identify and help implement new business data services that will drive efficiencies in sharing and manipulating data in a controlled, accurate, efficient, and secure manner utilizing the latest industry standards (e.g. data streams & data marketplaces).
  • Work cross-functionally to drive the modernization and feature enhancement initiatives, partnering directly with the data technology teams to execute within an agile framework
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to refine requirements and define enhancements, creating buy-in from other teams as necessary
  • Lead complex initiatives independently, develop a strong understanding of our customers, manage multiple concurrent projects, and identify and lead solutions that recognize significant business value
  • Create and vet scope, requirements, use case/user scenarios, test case documents and design specifications
  • Synthesize business requirements, identify areas of uncertainty, recommend solutions, gather buy-in from relevant stakeholders, roll solution out to team, shepherd feature through development and preview code before rollout.
  • Communicate platform outcomes to key stakeholders
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Direct technology experience in a digital environment in a relevant capacity
  • 6+ years overall relevant experience
  • 3+ years data experience
  • 2+ years in product management
  • 2+ years working in an Agile development environment and managing iteration-level deliverables
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various phases of ideation, execution, or delivery
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience with implementing data governance tooling and standards
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technology
  • Experience with agile development
  • Data driven decisioning mindset and track record
Education
  • Bachelor's degree; Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field is a plus
  • Masters Preferred
Experience
