This person will be part of the Power & Controls team which is responsible for developing designs for electrical, instrument and control systems and performing a variety of computer-based modeling, design, engineering and planning tasks on projects. C&I is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients. Responsibilities include: The Electrical Engineer prepares complete design packages, including the construction scope of work for complex projects that meet design intents and customer expectations. Designs are well coordinated with other departments. Resolving coordination conflicts effectively, negotiating win-win solutions to multi-discipline project design issues. With appropriate support, ensure vendor submittals meet the intended use. Coordinating multi-discipline review of vendor documents. Resolving conflicting comments. Considering costs associated with requested changes. Preparing a single set of comments for vendor response. Monitoring and reporting progress against engineering schedules and budgets. Independently taking corrective actions to meet the plan. Developing an independent quality plan to supplement the normal project execution plan when appropriate. Ensuring accuracy, completeness and consistency in the work produced in concert with project team objectives and customer expectations. Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering from a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program and a minimum of six years of related work

OR, PE license and five years of related work experience as described

Ability to travel domestically or internationally to offices, vendor shops, and project sites. Travel may be up to 10% Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements. Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and pass any required background checks. Safely performs work in accordance with C&I and client requirements.
