Compensation : $40 - 45 / hour
Our client seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, financial reporting, and accounting operations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-monthly payroll for employees across multiple US states, adhering to federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations.
- Prepare and record payroll accounting entries within the company's general ledger system (NetSuite).
- Manage employee voluntary deductions and liaise with Human Resources to resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile payroll data, ensuring accuracy and timely filing of tax documents (W-2s, 1099s).
- Process customer invoices and accounts payable, including credit card transactions and expense reports.
- Assist with fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Contribute to annual audits conducted by external auditors.
- Generate ad hoc reports as needed.
- Must have ADP Workforce Now
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in payroll and accounting, preferably within the technology or SaaS industry.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local wage and tax laws.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
