The Oxbow Hotel inEau Claire, WI is hiring for a clean and organized Lead Room Attendant. The Lead Room Attendant will act as a Supervisor when the Supervisor is off. They will also clean and supply all daily assigned rooms and report all damage, items left behind, mechanical deficiencies, suspicious activities, or theft in accordance with all housekeeping procedures, standards, and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction. As well as runner, house, laundry, or supervisor duties/projects when needed.

This position is part-time and the pay rate for this role is $17/hr.

Responsibilities

The incoming candidate needs to have the flexibility to work weekends, as well as daytime shifts. This individual would work side by side with the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure guest satisfaction.

•Making and distributing the charts and checklists in the morning.
•Distributing appropriate keys to attendants in the morning, collecting them, and locking them up at the end of the shift.
•Being aware of events/important dates to ensure those areas are meeting standards.
•Checking various reports to send out information when needed.
•Inspecting rooms to ensure brand standards.
•Coaching co-workers if there are performance issues or things missed in the rooms.
•Communicating with front desk/co-workers/guests etc. over the shift.
•Working on projects communicated with the supervisor.
•Inventory.
•Scheduling when needed.
•Running items/benefits for the front desk when needed.
•Checking due out rooms to make sure they are vacant at that time.
•Communicating with engineering/front desk about any work orders and entering them.
•Complete cleaning duties, such as: picking up trash, stripping the room of any dirty linens, making bed, wiping all surfaces and mirrors, cleaning guest bathroom, sweeping and mopping guest bathroom, vacuuming guest room, and cleaning the windows.
•Checking/inspecting all areas/drawers/refrigerators etc. after the room is cleaned.
•Retrieve, stock, restock, and store the housekeeping cart according to prescribed housekeeping, safety, and security procedures and regulations.
•Receive assigned sections, keys, supplies, and any priority room requests from the Housekeeping Supervisor. Turn in/put away keys, charts, and unused supplies at the end of the shift.
•Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
•Report any missing articles, damage, or mechanical problems to the Housekeeping Supervisor and turn in articles left in the room.
•Cover shifts as needed for callouts or vacations.

Qualifications

•Must be able to communicate in English.
•Must have the ability to do laundry/clean rooms during an eight-hour working day.
•Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
•Ability to meet standards of appearance.
•Attention to detail.
•Problem-solving.
•Can communicate well with guests and coworkers.
•Dependable.
•Flexible.
•Ability to complete tasks in a timely matter.
•Room Attendant Experience for at least one year.
•Constantly pushing loaded supply carts to and from public areas throughout the hotel, pushing full linen bins from floors to office, carrying dirty linen to laundry shoot, arranging drapery and replacement linen, operating vacuum, lifting mattresses, carrying boxes, and pushing heavy items on the cart.
•Constant bending and kneeling to clean bathrooms and making beds. Dusting requires bending to reach low areas on furniture.
•Movement to reach all areas of responsibility to include: closet shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under beds, behind furniture, moving linens from bin to bin, stocking boxes on shelves, reaching in bins.
•Continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for the position.
•Vision needed to see the cleanliness of the room to meet Brand standards.
