We are currently seeking a meticulous and organized Lead Room Attendant to oversee housekeeping operations. This role will involve acting as a Supervisor in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Position Details:
This is a part-time position with a competitive pay rate of $17/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute daily cleaning schedules and checklists.
  • Manage key distribution to housekeeping staff and ensure secure collection at the end of shifts.
  • Stay informed about events and significant dates to maintain cleanliness standards in relevant areas.
  • Review reports and disseminate necessary information.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms to ensure compliance with brand standards.
  • Provide coaching and support to team members regarding performance and room cleanliness.
  • Maintain open communication with front desk staff, coworkers, and guests throughout the shift.
  • Assist with special projects as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Oversee inventory management.
  • Assist with scheduling as required.
  • Deliver items and benefits to the front desk as needed.
  • Verify that rooms scheduled for check-out are vacant.
  • Coordinate with engineering and front desk for any maintenance requests.

Cleaning Duties Include:

  • Performing thorough cleaning tasks such as trash removal, linen changes, surface cleaning, and bathroom sanitation.
  • Inspecting all areas post-cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Stocking and organizing the housekeeping cart in accordance with safety and security protocols.
  • Receiving assigned sections and supplies from the Housekeeping Supervisor and returning unused items at the end of the shift.
  • Addressing guest requests and reporting any issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Documenting any lost items, damages, or maintenance issues for follow-up.
  • Filling in for absent staff as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks and laundry duties throughout an eight-hour shift.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable and flexible with scheduling.
  • Prior experience as a Room Attendant for at least one year.
  • Physical capability to manage cleaning supplies and equipment, including lifting and moving items as needed.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness standards and meet brand expectations.

The ideal candidate will possess the flexibility to work weekends and daytime shifts, collaborating closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
