Position Summary: The Lead Room Attendant will take charge in the absence of the Supervisor, ensuring that all housekeeping tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Compensation:
$17 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute daily cleaning schedules and checklists.
  • Allocate keys to housekeeping staff and ensure their secure return at the end of shifts.
  • Monitor special events and significant dates to maintain cleanliness standards in relevant areas.
  • Review reports and disseminate necessary information as required.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms to uphold brand quality.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to address performance concerns.
  • Maintain effective communication with front desk staff, colleagues, and guests throughout the shift.
  • Assist with projects as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Manage inventory and supplies efficiently.
  • Assist with scheduling when necessary.
  • Deliver items and amenities to the front desk as needed.
  • Verify that rooms scheduled for departure are vacant.
  • Coordinate with engineering and front desk for any maintenance requests.
  • Perform thorough cleaning duties, including trash removal, linen changes, surface cleaning, and bathroom sanitation.
  • Inspect all areas post-cleaning to ensure thoroughness.
  • Stock and maintain the housekeeping cart according to safety and operational guidelines.
  • Receive assigned areas, keys, and supplies, ensuring proper management of resources.
  • Address guest requests and report any issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Document any lost items, damages, or maintenance issues for the Supervisor.
  • Be prepared to cover shifts as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and laundry for extended periods.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain professional appearance standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with guests and team members.
  • Reliable and adaptable to changing needs.
  • Proven experience as a Room Attendant for at least one year.
  • Capable of handling physical demands, including lifting and moving supplies.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and reach to perform cleaning tasks effectively.
  • Consistent standing and walking to fulfill job requirements.
  • Vision acuity to assess cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work weekends and daytime shifts, collaborating closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
