Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineer (Remote) Job Code: 10869 Job Location: Must be located in Arizona to support suppliers Job Schedule: 9/80 – 9 hours Monday – Thursday, 8 hours every other Friday Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineer to join our company. The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that delivered products and/or services conform to contractual and the Company’s requirements by designing, implementing, evaluating and continually improving quality assurance and control methods and systems. The Supplier Quality Engineer will translate design drawings and contractual requirements into a comprehensive, understandable and functional quality plan; monitor and closely support manufacturing, inspection and supplier functions that relate to product quality; coordinate with the customer the establishment of government quality requirements and material review board activities; represent quality assurance in corrective action activities; and participate in audits or product evaluation to determine the effectiveness of the quality assurance program. This role will support suppliers in Arizona. Essential Functions: This role would require the employee to reside in the state of Arizona and travel to various customer sites in the state of Arizona. Visit suppliers to review product & process issues. Interface with internal and external customers; i.e., engineering, manufacturing, supplier, procurement to ensure requirements are met. Analyze supplier processes and planning to verify compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, processes, specifications, etc. Visit suppliers and perform investigation and root cause analysis to drive improvements into their processes. Be accountable for assigned suppliers' performance and ensure suppliers are performing with a 100% quality rating. Active contributor in Early Supplier Engagements such as Post Award Reviews (PAR), Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews, and Control Plan activity. Perform as the leading contributor for PAR-Lites. Work with suppliers to resolve issues with purchase order inspection packages. Investigate and report supplier quality history as requested by quality engineering or Quality & Mission Assurance (Q&MA) management. Create reporting documents to status Supplier's Performance, Non-Conformance History, impact to the Company's CoPQ, and other metrics as assigned. Participates in managing the supplier ratings/scorecard system and overseeing periodic meetings. Perform periodic source inspections at assigned suppliers. Up to 50% regional travel required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior Supplier Quality Engineer experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of Quality Engineer, Supplier experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of Quality Engineer, Supplier experience. Preferred Additional Skills: J-STD-001 Certification Preferred Problem solving, RCCA and investigation experience Certified Quality Engineer strongly preferred Ability to synthesize and analyze data from several sources and develop a plan to take action based upon the data Effective verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills and ability to work within a close-knit team environment.
