  • PO Status Report communication between suppliers, facilities, buyers and inventory and operations teams.
  • Communication and resolution of load tracker shipping and receiving variances.
  • Schedule nonperishable freight movements (transfers, inbound).
  • File report, track, and close lost freight claims with carriers.
  • Track floral non-truck emergency shipments.
  • Track Miami peak holiday shipments.
  • Bi-weekly rotation on after hours coverage with other Logistics Coordinator.
  • Update Logistics Database and Transportation logs throughout the day. Tracking Hardgoods loads and communicating with carriers.
  • Upload orders to carriers through their websites. This entails creating Bills of Lading and shipping labels to be communicated to shippers and receivers.
  • Submitting approved carrier invoices.
  • Monthly freight accruals
  • 1800Flowers hardgoods transfers including BloomNet Reno shipments to florists.
  • Crosstrain on Transportation & Buyer activities for vacation/absence coverage and succession.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferred strengths in Transportation and/or Logistics.
  • Prefer 2+ years of buying experience.
  • Capable in Microsoft Office: Excel, as well as Word & PowerPoint.
  • Able to learn buying systems in Oracle

Skills:

  • Professional verbal and written skills, time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented, ability to manage diverse processes while not losing sight of evolving goals and priorities.
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
