As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will be at the forefront of AI innovation, shaping an assistant that fosters natural and productive interactions. Join us and leave your mark on the future of AI Key job responsibilities Design scientific solutions for reasoning and alignment, conduct experiments, research new algorithms, and explore innovative ways to optimize the customer experience. Develop cutting-edge inference and training techniques to enhance the performance of LLMs for AI agent’s unique social AI tasks and applications. Design and implement robust techniques for generating synthetic data to train large models effectively, while ensuring model generalization and robustness. Mentor and guide junior team members, helping them develop their skills, knowledge, and ability to deliver high-quality work efficiently. Basic Qualifications 4+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience PhD, or Master's degree and 3+ years of applied research experience Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning Preferred Qualifications Experience with large scale machine learning systems such as profiling and debugging and understanding of system performance and scalability Hands-on experience in training large model (>70B) and/or model distillation Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,000/year in our highest geographic market.
