Role:

An Associate Relations Manager will play a key role in creating a positive workplace vibe, solving conflicts smoothly, keeping everything above board legally, and boosting Associate engagement. These efforts help boost productivity and job happiness, paving the way for the organization's success. An Associate Relations Manager will build trust, credibility and collaborative relationships with Department Leadership and Associates. Apply expertise and sound judgement when managing inquiries, mitigating risk and minimizing adverse impact to the organization through application of policies, practices and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Resolve issues and address Associate needs to ensure situations are resolved fairly, objectively, and aligned with our commitment to excellence. Experience with training and mentoring managers and Associate level is needed. The engagement responsibilities will include support of planning and implementing activities that will support Associate engagement. Events would include multiple Associate Rally's during the year and other various other events.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting the work as needed for all areas of Human Resources at a property level
  • Build positive relationships with department leadership and Associates, which improve Associate satisfaction which increases retention and productivity
  • Investigating workplace situations
  • Addressing escalated complaints from Associates
  • Event Planning for Associate Engagement
  • Creating and conducting training for Department Leadership and Associates
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify key indicators for potential improvement needed
  • Prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work effectively while managing competing projects
  • Work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Create effective programs that increase Associate engagement that reduces turnover and improves Associate satisfaction scores
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 5 years previous Associate Relations HR experience preferred, including supervisory experience or similar experience
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now
  • Bilingual fluent in English and Spanish preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Ability to obtain Nevada Gaming Registration
  • Valid Nevada Driver's License
Skills
  • Proven experience in employee relations, employee engagement, HR Leadership, or a similar role.
  • Have extensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Exhibit the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Proficiency in conducting investigations, mediation, and providing coaching and training to managers and Associates.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
