WHAT YOU WILL DO
Assist in all aspects of the financial planning process including assistance with gathering and organizing client information.
Support the planning team in maintaining client relationships.
Collaborate with the planning team in preparation for client meetings.
Communicate with clients and follow up on action items as needed.
Enthusiastically participate in professional associations such as FPA and NAPFA.
Work with the firm’s Senior Financial Planner in an intentional apprenticeship program designed to prepare you for the role of Associate Financial Planner.
WHAT WE SEEK IN A CANDIDATE
Interest in pursuing the CFP designation.
The highest level of ethical responsibility and respect for client privacy.
Accuracy and attention to detail for record keeping and working with client information.
Solid written and verbal communication skills as well as strong computer skills including expert use of Microsoft Office, financial planning software, and customer relationship management software.
Ability to understand, embrace, and communicate Sycamore’s business values, ethics, and financial planning model to potential clients.
A friendly, confident, sincere, and empathetic approach to interpersonal relationships.
The desire and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY
Bachelor’s degree in finance or closely related field or equivalent experience.
Ability to logically understand complex situations, conceive possible solutions, and analyze trade-offs / outcomes.
Core knowledge of financial industry, financial products, and financial planning concepts.
Ability to perform basic financial analysis.
Completion of full CFP coursework is a plus.
Knowledge of the firm’s financial planning and other core systems is a plus.
