What will I do as a Compliance and Training Specialist

with Lutheran Social Services?

Develop with the Director of Quality Performance and Improvement (QPI) consistent, relevant training for all departments.

Develop with the Director of Operations training structure, curricula, and schedules for current Choices employees, to include scheduling of guests for all staff meetings.

Develop with the Director of Operations and the Executive Director of 211 curricula for 211 operators and hotline resource specialist and conduct training on these systems as needed.

Assist staff improve upon or enhance existing skills and understanding of new or changing policies.

Schedules and organizes attendees for staff trainings: invite staff to trainings, inform managers and trainers of invitations, follow-up with staff that have not responded, confirm final list of attendees, work with staff to produce training roster, ensure that training attendees receive all credit for training.

Oversees actions for staff that miss confirmed training which may include rescheduling for next available trainings and informing managers of potential disciplinary actions and/or removal from staff schedules, in collaboration with program leadership.

Performs periodic audits and reviews for LSS Human Services Programs to ensure that policies/documents which are presented in trainings have been consistently implemented and are being updated and utilized appropriately.

Collaborates with Human Services Leadership and VP of Programs to design online training as needed.

Develops and maintains professional relationships with Directors, Managers, and staff within all Human Services programs.

Demonstrated skills in developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs and policy, systems and environmental change interventions designed to support behavior change knowledge transfer.

Prepares appropriate internal and external reports in a regular and timely manner.

Maintain accurate, updated documentation on areas of responsibility and include it in monthly report submitted to Director of Operations by first of each month.

Maintain flexibility with schedule to meet needs of Choices.

This position will be cross-trained and proficient in shelter operations and will manage both areas during the evening shift.

Requirements for a

Compliance and Training Specialist with Lutheran Social Services:

Bachelor's degree in education or a social services field.

Minimum of two (2) years of previous training experience within health and human services programs.

A minimum of two (2) years' experience conducting training/presentations for groups of various sizes.

Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.

Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards required.
