Very successful Central / North Jersey based telecommunication firm with 150+ people is seeking an energetic, creative, and collaborative Senior Human Resources Generalist to build out the HR function. This Human Resources position manages day-to-day operational human resources matters in collaboration with and under the direction of the CEO. One of the main functions of this role is to mitigate risk and liability while spearheading and driving change. This position will design and define company Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), benefits, training, policies, while spearheading the human capital needs identified based on the growth and direction of the company. This position shall collaborate with all aspects of the business as instructed by the CEO. This position will be key in teaming up with Legal and Compliance to pave a path of success while supporting, sustaining, and defining business continuity. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional with a passion for employee relations and a proven track record of administrative and strategic support to the human capital function, including supporting successful workforce planning initiatives, and serving as a subject matter expert of HR systems and processes. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities: Assist in the design and lead the development and successful implementation of human resources policies, programs, and systems across the company. Make recommendations, implements or enhances the HRIS to lead accurate system build, maintenance, and optimization, in support of human resources data management, reporting, benefits administration, talent acquisition, talent management and all other applicable human resources functionalities within the HRIS. Assist with negotiating and defining all aspects of benefits administration, including preparation for, roll out and oversight of, and follow up on, all aspects of open enrollment. Recommend human capital needs to drive talent acquisition activities, including use and optimization of the applicant tracking system, sourcing and recruitment of candidates, and all onboarding and transfer activities. Main point of contact to address and resolve internal employee relations investigations as identified, ensuring appropriate response and follow through for resolution while mitigating risk and liability. Define and determine human resources compliance requirements, ensuring accurate human resources notifications, document transmissions, employment law compliance, etc. Monitor employee inquiries and needs to ensure all inquiries are addressed timely and accurately. Draft and deploy employee communications. Lead the team in support of the performance of day-to-day human resources administrative duties. Participate in other projects as assigned, utilizing project management best practice tools to ensure success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Mastery of human resource principles, practices, and procedures. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Excellent typing and data entry skills; proficient data analytics and presentation skills. Ability to consistently act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Education and Experience: 10 plus years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience required preferably in a 100-300 person firm SHRM Certification required in first year in role Qualified candidates should send resumes to ws@rockwood-search.com .
