As a Regional Business Manager working on the Gastroenterology Rare Disease Sales Team, you will be empowered to drive product demand in targeted physician offices and key clinics and impact patients' lives. OBJECTIVES: Clearly understand and implement the marketing plan, accurately articulate the value proposition of the brand, and utilize on-label and approved marketing materials to attain sales/patient objectives for assigned products. Communicate all disease, product, and formulary information truthfully and consistently with Takeda compliance policies and applicable laws. Manage territory using judgment when executing brand strategy to maximize sales performance within the assigned customer population. Analyze local and regional business/managed markets trends to build both long and short term goals leading to a successful business plan. Work compliantly in a matrix environment encompassing Patient Services, Specialty Infusion Pharmacies, and Managed Markets. Create productive business partnerships with internal customers to create compliant plans for selling approaches that align with the company and territory business plans. Seek clarification from management and/or Compliance & Legal when uncertain about proposed activities. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Meet regularly with targeted HCP's and staff within assigned geography to understand their needs and discuss how Takeda products could meet those needs. Utilize a consultative selling approach to meet the needs of healthcare professionals treating Short Bowel and/or Ulcerative Colitis patients. Focus efforts on achieving the greatest positive patient impact. Manage a territory marketing and promotional speaker program budget in accordance with Takeda compliance policies. Share best practices and actively participate in Regional/National meetings. Utilize CRM system to document account profiles and pre and post call activities. EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Required: Bachelors' degree – BA/BS Minimum of 5+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales and/or relevant clinical or industry experience. Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers. Ability to develop and apply clinical and business expertise, and effective selling skills. Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills. Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography. Ability to adapt to changing business needs and conditions. Displays an ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement. Preferred: Execution of marketing strategies at the local level. Demonstrated business and strategic planning skills. Understanding of managed care landscape. Strong collaboration skills and success working in teams. Experience in specialty injectable sales. Experience selling products distributed through specialty infusion pharmacies. Experience coordinating with patient services. Working knowledge of Gastroenterology. Orphan drug and highly specialized medical sales experience. Ability to analyze complex technical data and develop strategic business plans. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Driver's License TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Must have valid driver's license issued in the US with a clean driving record.
