Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Provide daily guidance and mentorship to nursing and clinical personnel to eliminate access barriers, standardize processes, and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Identify and resolve any operational challenges affecting staff and clinic workflow.
  • Encourage feedback from nursing and clinical teams to foster continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate regular meetings across clinics to enhance staff engagement and ensure consistency in quality and safety.
  • Act as a principal leader to elevate the quality of Primary Care services.

Staffing:

  • Oversee recruitment, orientation, and ongoing mentorship of staff.
  • Support the professional development of nursing and clinical teams.
  • Ensure all personnel are informed about new policies, procedures, and equipment.
  • Address employee relations matters promptly, in collaboration with the Regional Director.
  • Supervise Clinic Nurse Leads and nursing staff in patient assessment, evaluation, and treatment to ensure high-quality care.
  • Manage annual competency evaluations for nursing and clinical staff.
  • Ensure compliance with certification and licensing requirements, along with the evaluation of Nursing Services quality improvement activities.
  • Work with Clinic Leads to ensure adequate daily staffing levels.
  • Promote exceptional customer service through effective teamwork and communication.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory and supplies for the clinic.
  • Recommend the acquisition of new or replacement equipment as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with DNV (Det Norske Veritas) standards, including policies and care environment readiness.
  • Maintain annual competencies related to safety and infection control.

Other Duties:

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, including special projects aimed at enhancing health service delivery.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of diverse clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an ambulatory care setting.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a healthcare environment.
