Takeda Pharmaceuticals Regional Business Manager

As a Regional Business Manager, you will play a crucial role in our mission to improve patient outcomes. You will be part of the Gastroenterology Rare Disease Sales Team, focusing on enhancing product demand within targeted healthcare facilities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Understand and execute the marketing strategy effectively, clearly communicating the brand's value proposition while adhering to compliance regulations. Utilize approved marketing resources to achieve sales and patient engagement goals for assigned products.

Maintain a strategic approach to territory management, ensuring alignment with brand objectives to optimize sales performance within your designated customer base.

Conduct thorough analyses of local and regional market trends to establish both short-term and long-term business objectives.

Collaborate effectively in a matrix environment that includes Patient Services, Specialty Infusion Pharmacies, and Managed Markets.

Develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to create compliant sales strategies that align with corporate and territorial business plans.

Seek guidance from management or Compliance & Legal when faced with uncertainties regarding proposed activities.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Engage regularly with targeted healthcare professionals and their teams to identify their needs and discuss how Takeda's offerings can address those needs.

Employ a consultative sales approach to support healthcare providers treating patients with Short Bowel Syndrome and Ulcerative Colitis.

Focus on maximizing positive patient outcomes through your efforts.

Oversee a budget for territory marketing and promotional speaker programs, ensuring compliance with Takeda's policies.

Share insights and best practices, actively participating in regional and national meetings.

Utilize CRM tools to maintain detailed records of account profiles and document pre- and post-call activities.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
- Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales, or relevant clinical experience.
- Ability to articulate therapeutic strategies to influence decision-makers.
- Proficient in developing clinical and business acumen alongside effective sales techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and present effectively.
- Reside within or near the assigned territory.
- Adaptability to evolving business needs and conditions.
- Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.

Preferred:
- Experience executing marketing strategies at the local level.
- Proven business and strategic planning capabilities.
- Understanding of the managed care landscape.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Background in specialty injectable sales and experience with specialty infusion pharmacies.
- Familiarity with patient services coordination.
- Knowledge of Gastroenterology and experience in orphan drug sales.
- Ability to analyze complex data and formulate strategic business plans.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver's License

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
