The Accounting Intern supports our Accounting Department with tasks such as general ledger entries and reconciliations, contributing to our organization's financial accuracy.

They apply their academic knowledge to real-world situations, gaining professional and practical experience. The intern is expected to uphold our Credit Union's values and culture. They must handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.

The duties of an Accounting Intern include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the precise recording of transactions in the general ledger, keeping outages to a minimum.
  • Meeting or exceeding expectations in performing work assignments and handling workload effectively.
  • Engaging with other departments with related functions to the Accounting Department, such as Data Analytics and Finance to build a foundational understanding of credit union financials.
  • Independently investigating issues, such as general ledger outages and devising appropriate solutions.
  • Assisting with administrative duties, such as arranging meetings, managing files, or interacting with internal departments.
