Job Summary:

The Offshore Project Engineer/Project Manager is one of the most visible internal and client-facing roles at Arion. Description of Responsibilities:

Effective written and oral communication skills, with an ability to get your ideas across, and be proactive to address communication breakdowns with others. You demonstrate a thoughtful approach to match your message to an appropriate medium (i.e. face-to-face, phone call, email, text, etc.). An approach to teamwork that demonstrates of esteem for others, including interactions with co-workers, clients and vendors. Strong technical knowledge of engineering, design, and construction of offshore facilities. Recent project engineering management experience in an engineering firm. Capability to manage people effectively to meet quality requirements and project schedule. Superlative organizational skills - able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities across disciplines in fast-paced projects. Experience with individual project sizes of $1M or greater Responsible for project management of assigned project(s) Overall responsible for project execution, including assigned project resources Develop and issue project execution plans for every project Manage overall project schedule and budget including management reporting Prepare project status reports addressing schedule, budget, staffing, safety, and open issues Monitor sub-contractor quality, cost and schedule performance Manage Project Engineers to review project Specifications, Standards, Drawing Reviews, and coordination with vendors and customers Monitor and coordinate engineering site visits, and responses to contractor inquiries Monitor delivery and review of documents, drawings and submittals Attend job site meetings with contractors, consultants and customers to review and monitor progress on activities Initial review of vendor and sub-contractor payment applications, validating project progress against approved schedule of values Evaluate, negotiate, and make recommendations regarding proposed change directives & change orders Oversee the project HSSEQ program and ensure procedures are followed

Qualifications

Qualifications / Skills:

Project Management Experience in Engineering and/or Construction Engineering and design experience with 10+ years working as PM on multiple projects Experience managing team of project discipline engineers Technical knowledge and understanding of project scheduling and estimating General understanding of HSSEQ programs and requirements

Software:

Intermediate to advanced skill level with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong MS Project capabilities and experience Some software capabilities with AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio

Qualifications / Education requirements specific to this role:

BSc, MSc or equivalent in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering NCEES P.E. License ideal PMP Certification preferred ( for Project Manager) Topsides, Brownfield, Greenfield experience a must Must be able to travel offshore ABS/BSEE basic knowledge Familiarity with 14C regulations

Physical Requirements (With or without Reasonable Accommodation):

Able to lift and carry ten (10) pounds. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Sufficient vision or other powers of observation which permits employee to conduct analysis and investigations. Sufficient manual dexterity which permits the employee to perform routine office duties. Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary, to off-site locations.
