Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly qualified and seasoned Lead Offshore Project Engineer to spearhead and oversee the pre-commissioning activities for our offshore pipelay initiatives. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the effective execution of our subsea projects by managing and coordinating pre-commissioning tasks to align with industry standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Pre-commissioning Strategy: Formulate and execute comprehensive pre-commissioning strategies and plans tailored for offshore pipelay projects.
  • Scope Management: Supervise the complete pre-commissioning scope of work, ensuring meticulous planning, execution, and documentation of all activities.
  • Quality Assurance: Guarantee that pre-commissioning tasks adhere to industry standards, project specifications, and client demands.
  • Risk Management: Recognize potential risks during the pre-commissioning phase and devise mitigation strategies to prevent project delays and budget overruns.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with project managers, subsea installation teams, and clients to synchronize pre-commissioning efforts with project timelines.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your extensive technical knowledge in subsea systems, pipelines, and offshore structures to enhance pre-commissioning efficiency.
  • Documentation: Ensure the maintenance of precise records, reports, and documentation of pre-commissioning activities for compliance with client and regulatory standards.
  • Safety: Advocate for and enforce safety protocols to safeguard the well-being of all personnel engaged in pre-commissioning operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancement and cost efficiency in the pre-commissioning phase.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline; a master's degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in subsea pre-commissioning for offshore pipelay projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and team management.
  • Thorough understanding of industry codes, standards, and regulations pertinent to subsea pre-commissioning.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • A safety-focused mindset with a proven history of adhering to safety protocols.
  • Relevant professional certifications in subsea engineering and project management are beneficial.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required; knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese is a plus.
  • Experience working in various international regions will be considered an asset.
