Tasks Position Overview Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) is looking for a talented attorney with experience in U.S. data privacy compliance to advise clients on a wide variety of data privacy matters, including compliance with evolving State laws. This position will serve as a strategic business advisor and partner in support of the company’s business goals while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal requirements. This includes ensuring that timely and appropriate legal services are provided in the areas of subject matter responsibility described herein and on other matters as may be needed by business departments and/or assigned from time to time. This is a “roll up your sleeves” role where you will be expected to not only give legal advice but to work with clients to help them achieve their objectives. You must be able to quickly pivot between multiple disciplines, operating within a tight-knit and agile legal department. Primary Areas of Responsibility Support the Data Protection Officer/Privacy Team in developing and implementing the Porsche Privacy Management System, a Porsche global comprehensive privacy program, with particular attention to certain PCNA affiliate companies in the US. This includes tasks such as: Create and deliver privacy training(s) and prepare corporate privacy communications as directed. Review and update privacy-related internal policies and procedures. Annual and periodic required privacy reporting. Assistance with updates to vendor agreements and privacy notices. Lead data mapping initiatives across multiple businesses. Support PCNA and its affiliate companies in the US by keeping pace with changes in applicable laws, regulations, and internal requirements. Provide day-to-day privacy advice to business departments across a variety of privacy topics. Qualifications Qualification Education: Undergraduate (B.A. or B.S.) and Law (J.D.) degrees and unrestricted eligibility to practice law on behalf of a corporate employer in the State of Georgia are required. Admission to the bar of one of the 50 states required. Experience: 3-5 years legal experience required Privacy experience required The following is considered a plus: Prior in-house legal experience Experience advising C-suite executives and/or board members Expertise and ability to advise in additional legal subject matter areas as needed Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication skills and presentation skills with the ability to influence/persuade and to resolve disputes. Proactive and practical problem solving skills to support business departments in achieving their goals. Able to provide advice and make decisions in real time to keep pace with business needs. Exceptional interpersonal diplomacy and negotiation/mediation skills to effectively build and maintain internal and external relationships. Confidence to operate independently as needed. Sound judgment and ethics. Effective and efficient use of outside counsel resources. Excellent analytical thinker, detail-oriented, and well organized. Ability to prioritize multiple, complex projects that will be seen through to the end. Expertise in multiple different legal subject matters and ability to flex between them. Position may require occasional travel domestically and/or internationally. Physical requirements While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment. Hybrid - 50% in office and 50% remote. #J-18808-Ljbffr
