Tidelands Ford is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Automotive Accounting Assistant to join our team in Pawleys Island, SC. As an Automotive Accounting Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our accounting department and ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Backup automotive billing process and corresponding reports/schedules
  • Process vehicle title work.
  • Perform data entry and verify accuracy of financial documents.
  • Assist with reconciliations and account balancing.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete financial tasks and support the overall accounting department.
  • Scanning of all company documents into data system.
  • Cross train on other office job tasks and dealership administrative positions
  • Other office tasks as needed
  • Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in automotive accounting or a similar role is strongly desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software; CDK preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Salary: Starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience
