Insight Global is hiring an Engineering Administrator/draft checker for one of our Aerospace customers in Largo, FL. This person will be responsible for managing the document release form process within the engineering department of 45 employees. Also responsible for Checking the 2D engineering drawings and engineering reports for adherence to formatting standards. Such as making sure the draft has the correct drawing number, revision, sheet #, etc. Ad hoc administrative functions include entering timecards into the companys ERP system for external vendors that do not have access. The ideal candidate has their Aerospace degree, is computer savvy on a PC, detail oriented, can work in a faced paced, collaborative environment, and basic understanding of document release process and CAD. This position has potential for growth into engineering roles at the company.
Must-haves
Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering OR 3-5 years of related experience
0-2 years of Engineering Administrative experience if candidate obtains degree
Ability to interpret engineering drawings
Familiar with the document release process
Ability to generate engineering change documentation such as multi-sheet drawing revisions and change orders addressing minor changes
Basic AutoCAD proficiency
Drafting knowledge
Computer Saavy - Microsoft word, Excel, Project and Adobe Acrobat proficient on a PC Platform
