Non-Management POSITION SUMMARY The Project Specialist is responsible for supporting the department operations as part of the organization’s administrative team. This position will lead tactical initiatives which support department programs. Success in this position is accomplished through an understanding of business operations, existing training programs and Marriott’s protocol. In addition, the Project Specialist must have the skills to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time, meet deadlines and exhibit strong communication skills. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of employees. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
