Position Overview:

As a Project Controls Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing project schedules and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. Your expertise will be essential in tracking, monitoring, and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain comprehensive project planning and scheduling documentation to meet both project and client requirements.
2. Provide scheduling support for both in-house and on-site operations as necessary.
3. Collaborate with Team Leads, Superintendents, and Project Managers to monitor project progress against established schedules and budgets.
4. Prepare and present regular management and customer reports as required.
5. Assist in the development of project proposals and preliminary schedules before project initiation.
6. Create and update master schedules that detail the sequence of work activities.
7. Evaluate actual project progress and provide consistent updates to stakeholders.
8. Interface with Operations to address work impacts and resolve issues.
9. Contribute to the development of work schedules for estimating purposes prior to proposal submissions.
10. Incorporate resource and cost loading data into project schedules as needed.
11. Consult with project team members to ensure thorough planning is conducted before work commences.
12. Assist Project Managers in creating short-term schedules and monitoring their impact on the master schedule.
13. Stay informed about advancements in scheduling software and continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Education and Experience Requirements:

- 6-8 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma
- 4-6 years of relevant experience with an Associate degree
- 0-2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with Project Management Software (PM Online) and CMMS software
- Experience with Primavera P6 software

Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
- Proficient in using hands for tasks such as typing
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Capable of understanding and interpreting written information
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems
